OK, so I’m a cable broadband user, with a simple wireless network in a “normal” 1930s semi.
So far this has proven to be faultless. Simple to set up, I was up and running in about 15 minutes. It provides excellent wireless coverage.
It looks nice, has a relatively easy to use interface, is silent and inconspicious in the corner of my lounge.
What more could you ask for?
It was not my original plan to replace my trusty dusty Belkin wireless G router. I finally had to buy a new computer as the technology changed so much in the last 8 years. The new system is now wireless N. I only picked Linksys because I worked a lot with Cisco down through the years.
I am glad I installed this router in the dead of night. It was too easy. I just logged into the router and changed a few settings and the name before the installation. The LELA application did the rest. Everything installed except my dated wireless Brother printer. It took ages to go through the archaic menus to get the right information. I finally bought a new all-in one HP. And it located the network an installed immediately; I did not have to hook up any hard connections for the initial setup.
Maybe it id the technology or maybe the brand or just this router but I am getting more distance and throughput even on the old wireless G devices. Also because this device is in the bedroom it is nice not to have all those flashing yellow lights at night.
