Aviation Marketing Using Google My Business

Google My Business is a free service that is often overlooked by business owners. This is unfortunate but easily fixed.

Search for your business in Google and you may find it’s already listed. If it is then you can claim ownership of it by submitting your claim and waiting for a code that will be posted to your business address.

If it’s not already listed then you’ll need to go to Google My Business and start the process. It may take you a couple of hours to complete thoroughly but it’s worth the effort in the long run.

As well as all the basic details about your business (name, postal address, phone number, URL, etc) the GMB profile contains sections for images, videos, and updates. There’s even a website section that can be completed online if you haven’t already got a site for of your own.

There is also a section for reviews. This is a particularly important section since it will help your profile to stand out from any others returned for the same search terms. Imagine searching for ‘aviation interiors’ in any given area and seeing three or more options but only one of which includes customer reviews. Which one would you choose first?

Obviously this will only be of benefit if there are positive reviews but even negative reviews can provide valuable feedback. If you answer the criticism publicly it can turn a negative into a positive.
